LDAP Authentication

Question asked by sim085 on Sep 22, 2017

Hello, I am following the documentation available here:

LDAP configuration properties | Alfresco Documentation

Now from what I understand, if I just want to authenticate with LDAP without synchronization (i.e. - I will manage all accounts from LDAP) then the basic number of attributes I need are the following:

ldap.authentication.active=true
ldap.authentication.java.naming.security.authentication=DIGEST-MD5
ldap.authentication.java.naming.read.timeout=30000
ldap.authentication.userNameFormat=uid=%s,ou=People,dc=company,dc=local
ldap.authentication.allowGuestLogin=false
ldap.authentication.java.naming.provider.url=ldap://myldap.lan:389
ldap.synchronization.active=false

I have put these properties in /opt/alfresco-community/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco-global.properties

I restarted alfresco machine.

However I still can't login to alfresco using the account credentials in LDAP.
