How to set system locale in alfresco centos docker

Question asked by aliiiiii on Nov 22, 2017

Hi,

i've a running docker alfresco container using centos i've set in my docker my locale settings :

RUN locale-gen en_GB.UTF-8
ENV LANG en_GB.UTF-8
ENV LANGUAGE en_GB:en
ENV LC_ALL en_GB.UTF-8

when i check in my running container using bash as root everything is correctly set and my ocr software is working

LANG=en_GB.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_GB.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=en_GB.UTF-8

but if i want to use it inside alfresco the command will be /bin/su mycommand etc ... and so my locale are not correctly set, everything is in POSIX and so my software is not working ...

LANG=
LC_CTYPE="POSIX"
LC_NUMERIC="POSIX"
LC_TIME="POSIX"
LC_COLLATE="POSIX"
LC_MONETARY="POSIX"
LC_MESSAGES="POSIX"
LC_PAPER="POSIX"
LC_NAME="POSIX"
LC_ADDRESS="POSIX"
LC_TELEPHONE="POSIX"
LC_MEASUREMENT="POSIX"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="POSIX"
LC_ALL=

how to set everywhere the locale i want ?

thanks
