Alfresco 5.0 stop working and throwing weird errors

Hi,

 

I have the following setup for alfresco 5.0.4a:

- SO: CentOS 6.9, with 8 GB of ram

- Apache Tomcat 7 - started with 4GB of ram (minimum 4GB, maximum 4Gb)

- PostgreSQL 9.4

It is configured to go through Apache HTTP server (on https) using mod_jk library and it worked fine for 2 years now.

Since 2 days ago it went nuts, I get all kind of errors and the only solution is to stop the tomcat and restart it (kill the process).

 

 

Attached are some of the errors I get in catalina.out.

 

mod_jk logs are full of this kind of error:
