Start, End events Workflows

I am trying to make a custom logic on start and end event of workflows.
I tried to work with activiti executionListener, but it seems that I need to define a process and put these executionListener to it, which is not my case.
What I want is to set this custom logic for the predefined workflows (adhoc, parallel-review-group,  parallel-review, ...)
and the newly created in a programmatic way.
