Connect Alfresco fresh install to restored MySQL DB

Is it possible to have a functioning freshly installed Alfresco 5.2 with a cold backup/restore of a MySQL DB? The fresh installation connects successfully, but throws errors. Is there a way to import whatever it is missing, from the database? Thank you.
