How to connect Alfresco Community to a remote PostgreSQL location

Hello. I installed the latest version of Alfresco Community 2018 and PostgreSQL 10 into 2 separate servers. I want to know how to set up my Alfresco instance, what configuration changes so I need to do, so that it can connect to my remote PostgreSQL location. I saw one posting that sort of gave me some pointers, but it wasn't complete. I tried to best I can but I am stuck. Please advise. Thank you.

Hello.

If you tried something, and it failed for some reason, it would be useful to have the link what you tried, and in case you faced errors, also, the error messages.

The configuration is as simple as editing the alfresco-global.properties file, and setting the database related properties, like host, port, user and password.

Other than that, your PostgreSQL server has to be configured to accept external access, as by default, it will accept only local connections.
