Hi Friends,
I'm newby to Alfresco,
I would like your opinion regarding the installation of Alfreso in a Virtual Private Server.
This VPS will host other services, like server web and cloud on Linux Debian environment, so I would like to know if Alfresco would risk compromising the usability of the other services or if the user would risk being too slow to use it from VPS.
Thes the VPS specifications:
CPU Eight cores
RAM 30 GB
Disk storage 100% SSD
Port / bandwidth 600 Mbit/s port
Many thanks!
Davide
I have been using Alfresco deployed into VPS even smaller than the one you listed, and I can say that for low demanding environments, it works.
The only difference is that in my case, when I use a VPS, it is used exclusively by the Alfresco service, and sometimes, for the database.
Talking about the deploy steps, if you have the access into the VPS's terminal, you could use the manual install just like you would do in a normal server.
Ask for and offer help to other Alfresco Content Services Users and members of the Alfresco team.
