Webdav on https

Microsoft Word 2010 does not open Alfresco 201612 webdav link over https, e.g.  

https://172.31.0.51:4443/alfresco/webdav/CONTENT_ROOT_FOLDER/INNER_DOCUMENTS/DOCID_6698/_ID_6698_ADD...

   ,

but successfully opens webdav link over http 

http://172.31.0.51:8181/alfresco/webdav/CONTENT_ROOT_FOLDER/INNER_DOCUMENTS/DOCID_6698/_ID_6698_ADD_...

 

Registry parameter  is set  to 2

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters\BasicAuthLevel

MS Word just opens blank in case of https. It does not matter, how webdav link is open, from MS Word or by "Edit in Microsoft Office" from Alfresco in https session.

Probably, the port for https (different for 443) is not valid for Word, by security considerations (in the same way you needed to change your Windows registry for admitting http).
