O sea, que el problema es que el encoding que le especifico a postgresql y el actual no coinciden.He investigado y he visto que el LATIN1 lo asume cuando no se le especifica ningún locale o se le asigna el ISO88591. Estos son mis locales:# locale

Así que decido reconfigurarlo (¡Ojo! Estoy en Debian 6):# dpkg-reconfigure locales
Y elijo únicamente el UTF8:[ ] en_GB ISO-8859-1
[ ] en_GB.ISO-8859-15 ISO-8859-15
[*] en_GB.UTF-8 UTF-8
A continuación me pregunta cuál quiero usar como predeterminado, y vuelvo a elegir el UTF8Default locale for the system environment:

en_GB.UTF-8
Y finaliza el asistente:

Hehehe.Ahora mismo está desplegando Alfresco a la velocidad del rayo ^_^ así que mientras espero, escribo el mensaje.P.D. Me he pasado de listo eliminando todos los locales, así que voy a volver a configurarlo instalando todos los locales necesarios, pero estableciendo como predeterminado el UTF-8
