Errore Alfresco 4.2 Linux MySQL

Salve a tutti,
per un'attività di sperimentazione ho necessità di installare l'ultima versione di Alfresco su un server Linux/Ubuntu sul quale è già presente un'installazione della versione 4.0.
Seguendo questa guida http://www.whiteboardcoder.com/2013/01/install-alfresco-community-42-on-ubuntu_31.html (che ho seguito con successo anche per l'installazione della versione 4.0) ho deciso di installare Alfresco 4.2 al'interno dello stesso Tomcat in cui è deployato l'altro Alfresco (4.0). Naturalmente ho creato un nuovo DB, ho modificato opportunamente "alfresco-global.properties" ma purtroppo quando tento di aprire la pagina di login mi viene restituito l'errore 404.

Suggerisco di controllare su che porta girano le due istanze di tomcat.
Non è che la "vecchia" e la "nuova" girano entrambe sulla 8080?

innanzitutto grazie mille della risposta, poi probabilmente mi sono spiegato male io. Sto cercando di installare Alfresco 4.2 sotto la stessa istanza di Tomcat nella quale è già presente Alfresco 4.0.

Sulla stessa istanza di Tomcat la vedo davvero dura.
Non l'ho mai fatto e non so nemmeno se sia possibile.
Francamente più che ci penso e più dubbi mi vengono ma lascio il consiglio a qualcuno che abbia più esperienza di me sul caso specifico.
In caso negativo, pur ignorando i motivi che ti portano ad installarla sulla stessa istanza, suggerirei un'altra istanza di tomcat.

Facci sapere come ne esci che sono curioso.

dopo lunghe disamine ho avuto l'ok per poter installare un'altra istanza di Tomcat…nonostante questo però i Tomcat si avviavano senza problemi ma una delle 2 webapps Alfresco non si startava. A quel punto su uno dei due file alfresco-global.properties, ho inserito la configurazione suggerita da Costantino (che ringrazio infinitamente) e finalmente sembra funzionare tutto correttamnete.
